If you're travelling by car, Port Hardy is a 2.5 hour drive on a newly paved highway north from Campbell River or about a 4 hour drive north from the Nanaimo ferries at Departure Bay.
By Boat
Port Hardy is also a major terminus for the Bella Coola - Prince Rupert - Alaska ferry system.
